Histroy of Aerospace

Aerospace is not actually similar to "Airspace".
Basically Modern aerospace began with George Cayley in 1799. Cayley proposed an aircraft with a "fixed wing and a horizontal and vertical tail," defining characteristics of the modern airplane.

The 19th century saw the creation of the Aeronautical Society of Great Britain (1866), the American Rocketry Society, and the Institute of Aeronautical Sciences, all of which made aeronautics a more serious scientific discipline.

In 17 December 1903, Wright Brother (Olive and Wilbur) created world s' first working successful airplane ... They were inspired by the flying technique of Eagle , they deeply observed that flying of birds specially eagles !! Hence so they acted upon their plan and made their aim true and those both brothers are having a major hand in Aviaition and Air industry.
